HP-SMA-905

The High Power SMA 905 Connector features a stainless steel ferrule with a counter bore end-face, which allows the fiber to be in "free space", providing an epoxy free area around the fiber. This significantly reduces connector failure due to excessive heat generated in high power laser delivery systems.

A uniquely designed centering sleeve provides precision angular alignment of the fiber inside the connector, which results in a higher coupling efficiency of the laser beam. The stainless steel flange is constructed in two parts. The flange back part functions as a heat sink, conducting excessive heat away from the fiber, thus further reducing the possibility for damage on the fiber.
The HP-SMA 905 connector is available with a wide range of inside diameters from 230um to 1200um. Specify ferrule inside diameter when ordering connectors.
